We warmly welcome you to St Justin’s Catholic Parish Primary School, a dynamic K-6 co-educational learning community founded in the values of the Gospel and committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally. Our school provides a caring, understanding and giving environment where students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and each other, preparing them to live out the teachings of Jesus Christ in their everyday lives. 

As one of the newest Catholic primary schools in the Diocese of Wollongong, St Justin’s is part of the Parish of St Mary MacKillop Oran Park and shares its site with both the Parish and St Benedict’s College. Our close connection to the Parish is a reflection of our shared mission to form young disciples who are grounded in faith and actively engaged in the life of the Church.

Our Purpose

At St Justin’s Catholic Primary School, our purpose is to support the families of our Parish community in forming disciples who joyfully live out the mission of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this by:

• Embracing all with radical hospitality, ensuring that every person who comes through our doors feels welcomed, valued, and loved as part of our family in Christ.
• Serving with humility, following the example of Jesus, who taught us that greatness lies in serving others with kindness and compassion. 
• Nourishing the faith and learning of all, fostering an environment where academic growth is complemented by spiritual formation, and where faith is integrated into every aspect of school life.

Our school motto, Faith, Reason, and Harmony, encapsulates the values and guiding principles we hold dear as a Catholic educational community. 

Our Story 

The journey of St Justin's Catholic Primary School began in 2010, when the first intake of students - initially as an additional Kindergarten cohort for the St Paul's Camden community - were housed in temporary facilities. This humble beginning marked the start of a vibrant community built on Catholic values, prayer, and a shared commitment to the Gospel. 

In 2012, St Justin's officially began to take shape as a school, offering eight class groupings under the leadership of our founding principal, Mr John Milgate. The school moved to its permanent location in Oran Park at the end of 2012 and opened at the beginning of 2013, where it quickly grew into a thriving Catholic educational community. 

Today, St Justin's has grown to serve approximately 840 students across 28 mainstream class groupings and 3 specialist support classes. Our focus remains on the holistic development of each student, empowering them to live out their God-given potential in all areas of life. 

A Deep Connection to Our Parish 

The bond between St Justin’s and the Parish of St Mary MacKillop is a cornerstone of our identity. Together, we work toward a common goal: to form disciples who joyfully live out the mission of Jesus Christ. The school library, once the site for weekend Mass until the Southern Mass Centre was built in 2017, serves as a reminder of our shared faith journey and the important role the Parish plays in the spiritual growth of our students and their families.

As a school, we foster a strong sense of community, where students, staff, and families come together to pray, worship, and serve. Through regular participation in Mass, prayer services, and other liturgical celebrations, we encourage our students to deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith in all they do.

At St Justin’s, we are blessed with a team of over 80 dedicated staff members who embody a spirit of service and commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Our staff are not only skilled professionals but also witnesses to the Catholic faith, working in close collaboration to meet the academic, social, and spiritual needs of our students.

Through ongoing professional development, our educators continually strive for excellence, ensuring that their teaching reflects the needs of the children and the world in which they live. We embrace a learning environment where faith and learning go hand in hand, and where every student is valued as a child of God, with unique gifts to share.
